CAKE CAKE CAKE: Simple Oreo Cream Cake

This Oreo cake follows your typical out of the box cake, with the surprisingly vegan friendly Duncan Hines cake mixes it is easy to make a variety of cakes. With a minor tweak to the wet ingredients you'll have no problem making this one!

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 pack of Oreos
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 box of duncan hines classic white cake mix
  • 3 teaspoons of instant potatoes
  • 1 can of creamy vanilla Duncan Hines icing


COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Combine in a large bowl cake mix, oil, instant potatoes, and water. Stir till well mixed.
3. Stir in 1 sleeve of crushed oreos into cake mix.
4. Lightly oil baking pan(s) and dust lightly with flour to avoid sticking.
5. Pour mix into pan and bake. Check after 30 minutes but bake until done.
6. Remove from oven and ice lightly with half of icing. (Icing will drip on hot cake, this is intentional).
7. Place in freezer till icing is firm and cake is no longer warm. Remove and ice with remaining icing to give a more clean looking coat.
8. Crush 1 sleeve of oreos and drizzle the crumble on top.
9. Pull apart remaining oreos and place the cookies around the edges of the cake.
